Obama Would Now Vote to Kill Terri Schiavo

In Tuesday evening's Democrat debate, radical anti-life Obama says his biggest mistake was voting in favor of saving the life of Terri Schiavo, who was ultimately starved and dehydrated to death for her inconvenience to her estranged husband.

Huckabee Compares Abortion to Slavery

Huckabee is right on. I recommend reading a great book about this, "The Ashes that Still Remain" by Fr. Thomas Koys. We need more pro-life leaders with the courage of Gov. Huckabee, Rep. Ron Paul, and Sen. Sam Brownback.

Pro-Life Hargadon Wins MD Republican Nod for District 7

Personal Note by Joe Healy (me): Below is a press release from Dr. Michael Hargadon (R). Mike is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-business, pro-Constitution messenger of hope to us in Maryland's 7th Congressional District. He will need all the help and prayers he can get to unseat the incumbent Democrat Elijah Cummings in this heavily Democrat district.

Rep. Cummings is radically pro-abortion, supports embryo-destructive research, opposes efforts to protect the sanctity of marriage, and is anti-choice when it comes to parental rights regarding children's education. I have many letters from Rep. Cummings in reply to my letters to him urging him to support or oppose certain legislation in the US House of Representatives.

E-mail me if you would like to help Mike: st.piusx [at] gmail [dot] com.

Press release from Michael T. Hargadon:

Michael T. Hargadon, a longtime, well-liked, general dentist in Southwest Baltimore City, advanced into the general campaign for the Congressional seat in Maryland's 7th Congressional District.

Dr. Hargadon achieved a commanding 75% plurality of Republicans in Tuesday’s primary against Ray Bly in this heavily Democrat district, which extends from Morgan State University in the City, west through the Catonsville Woodlawn corridor, and most of Howard County.

Hargadon, one of the seven Ron Paul Constitutional government congressional candidates throughout the state, credits his impressive win in Tuesday’s race to his contacts in the southwest corridor and the outstanding grassroots effort from the Ron Paul supporters here in Maryland.

Michael hopes to unseat the Democrat incumbent, Congressman Elijah Cummings, in November. Plans are underway to form a committee to guide this effort.

Planned Parenthood - The Cancer of America

When I looked at this map that American Life League put together of abortion-committing Planned Parenthood facilities across our nation (http://www.all.org/stopp/maps/), I couldn't help but think that it looks like America has cancer, and it's called "Planned Parenthood."

I can't believe how popular both Hillary and Obama are. They spar over which of them will most support and expand legalized abortion.
Imagine two presidential candidates arguing over who will allow the most killing of anyone other than the unborn. It almost gives us a glimpse of what it may have been like in Germany during the years leading up to the Nazi takeover. "I vill kill ze most Jews!" "No, I vill kill ze most Jews!"

Talk about cancer! PP is killing our nation.

I don't understand how corporations can give money to fund Planned Parenthood; it just doesn't make good business sense. For one thing, Planned Parenthood is killing off their future potential customers. For another, what's the worst that will happen if they don't support PP? If a culture that is killing itself off chooses to boycott your business, how much damage can they really do, when the culture of life and love will support you? Which culture would you rather have supporting your business, one that is aborting itself to extinction or one that is growing day by day, generation by generation?

Abortion only makes sense when you don't think. If you stop and think, you can't remain pro-abortion and live peacefully with yourself.
Abortion is not a liberal or conservative issue; it is a humanitarian issue. The welfare of our nation, and indeed the entire world, depends upon how we treat the weak and vulnerable, the "least among us."

Pray daily for an end to abortion.

Unfinished Business - Dr. King

catholicexchange.com — "How can the dream survive if we murder the children? If the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is to live, our babies must live." Inside the Vatican magazine has named Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Pastoral Associate of Priests for Life, as one of the Top Ten People of 2007.

Guest Column: The Abortion Mafia

This column is written by Fr. Anthony Mellace (drdavila@aol.com) and is provided here with his permission:

As I listen to the debates between the Democrats seeking the presidential nomination within their party, I noticed something very interesting. They are freely allowed to disagree amongst themselves on the issues of health, education, national security and the economy, but not on the question of abortion. When it comes to baby killing, they are obligated to declare to everyone the same position and not what they would truly and personally feel about the matter.

What all this says to me is that they and the Democratic Party itself are controlled by an abortion mafia. If they were to dare say anything different on abortion, then the mafia would withhold its funds and eliminate them from the primaries. This shows to anyone that they are all just phonies and merely puppets of a huge crime organization that manipulates this political group called the “Democrats”. It is ironic that they harp so much on the question of “free choice” but are prohibited themselves to express and practice it within their own group. In regards to taking a stand on child murder, free choice is not permitted. If they truly believed in free choice, then why can’t one democrat disagree with another on the Roe vs. Wade decision and show his free choice in the matter?

Now someone might say to me: “According to your reasoning and logic, there must also be a pro-life mafia that controls the Republicans, obligating them to be anti-abortion.” How I wish there was a mafia defending human life! We would then be able to back up a real pro-life candidate into office and effectively get rid of abortion. There are many Republicans in favor of abortion (Giuliani is one of them) yet no one persecutes or removes them from the party as do the intolerant Democrats if one of their own disagreed on the issue. Maybe there are some Republicans who will just get on the band wagon and declare themselves anti-abortion in order to get elected, but I believe that many speak from personal conviction. In today’s permissive society it is harder to be anti-abortion than to gain popularity by accepting child murder.

I believe that the mafia which controls the Democratic party and its co-horts consists of a conglomeration of the pharmaceutical companies, the American Medical Association, the American Public Health Association, the American Bar Association, N.O.W., Planned Parenthood, big companies such as the Ford Foundation and many private rich individuals like certain movie stars of open minds (so open that their brains fell out). Their financial interests in making huge profits from the gruesome business of chopping up embryos will have them control the one party who will cater to them. Woe to those who disagree with them since the White House will no longer be their coveted prize.

Now I hope that no one makes the stupid and silly assumption that the Catholic Church is financing the pro-life movement or candidates. The Catholic Church, since 1973, hasn’t even utilized 10% of its material assets and moral strength in this human life war. If she truly were to gather all the power she possesses (whether material or moral) and throw it with all the might she had into the arena, abortion would have been gone a long time ago. She is simply a sleeping giant who can’t be awoken nor bothered with such petty matters (in this sense she has become a harmless laughingstock to all who see her, especially her enemies). There are more important things to worry about.

In this sense, the Evangelicals have done much more and even put up candidates for office. I have never seen a priest or bishop run for office in this time of national urgency. The only Catholic that recently ran for president was a phony and false one who was shamefully supported by ignorant and blind spiritual leaders. No, the pro-life movement has no mafia behind it, but the Democrats do, and this is extremely dangerous for a democratic nation like ours concerned in conserving the precious values of personal freedoms and the right to speech and life itself.

Voting As A Catholic - Wisdom from Pope Benedict XVI

As a Catholic, and indeed as a human person in general, there are certain guidelines that you cannot ignore when deciding for whom to cast your vote in an election. Pope Benedict XVI has reiterated some of these in the form of three "non-negotiables" - Sanctity of Life, Sanctity of Marriage, and Parental Rights:

As far as the Catholic Church is concerned, the principal focus of her interventions in the public arena is the protection and promotion of the dignity of the person, and she is thereby consciously drawing particular attention to principles which are not negotiable. Among these the following emerge clearly today:

First Principle:

- protection of life in all its stages, from the first moment of conception until natural death;

Second Principle:

- recognition and promotion of the natural structure of the family - as a union between a man and a woman based on marriage - and its defence from attempts to make it juridically equivalent to radically different forms of union which in reality harm it and contribute to its destabilization, obscuring its particular character and its irreplaceable social role;

Third Principle:

- the protection of the right of parents to educate their children.

These principles are binding to all, not just Catholics and Christians:

These principles are not truths of faith, even though they receive further light and confirmation from faith; they are inscribed in human nature itself and therefore they are common to all humanity. The Church’s action in promoting them is therefore not confessional in character, but is addressed to all people, prescinding from any religious affiliation they may have. On the contrary, such action is all the more necessary the more these principles are denied or misunderstood, because this constitutes an offence against the truth of the human person, a grave wound inflicted onto justice itself.

There are only three candidates who espouse all three of these "non-negotiables" - Ron Paul, Alan Keyes, and Mike Huckabee.
